Nike Alphafly 3

Recommend sizing half up. Tremendous trainer shoe for beginners to race day! Running my first marathon in the end of April. Been training in these shoes since January 2025. Wear size 10.5 and notice to tight for my wide feet. So I sized up to 11 and viola, beautifully functional race shoes. Love it! Wear & tear not as bad if mid foot/fore foot striker.

Way more comfortable than the Alpha fly 2 with their arch design flaw. No blisters with the 3’s. however after just one run picked up a rock in both openings between the carbon plate and foam. Due to the shape it'll wedge the rocks inside. You will feel those rocks the entire time until you stop and pull them out.

I've bought the Alphafly 1 & 2 more than twice each and they lasted 3-4 months while running about 8 miles a week total, but these Alphafly 3 did not last 20 miles. It's like with each edition they keep removing more & more of the sole/bottom grip of the shoe just to replace it with more foam. I noticed cracks in the foam the within the first 4 miles, tears by the 8th and the grip completely fell off by the 20th mile, smh. I don't see myself buying another pair until they have way more sole/tread at the bottom because I wouldn't even be able to complete a marathon in a brand new pair.
