I ended up with the vaporfly 4s after trying many hoka, brooks, and saucony. They all make great shoes. But these are the very best. Even compared to other Nikes super shoe offerings. These seem to be a culmination of technology and design that have created the ultimate super shoe. They are so light they feel like nothing in your feet. Very tactile. I can feel the ground unlike most carbon plate shoes. I feel so fast and secure in these shoes. Thank you Nike!

Full Speed
The full-length carbon fiber Flyplate has a higher angle than the Vaporfly 3 and combines with a lower heel-to-toe drop to give you a propulsive feel on race day.
Lighter Foam
Nike ZoomX, our most responsive foam, just got lighter. Running from heel to toe, it unlocks even more energy return than before with a slight midsole reduction, giving you a bouncy, feathery feel.
Lighter Upper
Engineered mesh helps reduce the weight of the shoe while providing a more consistent fit. And we saved more weight by reducing the size of the heel and tongue.
Lighter Midsole and Outsole
Midsole bulges at the heel to help reduce weight on the inside of the foot to give you a more stable ride. We reduced the weight of the outsole by using a thinner rubber compared to the Vaporfly 3.

We made minor tweaks so you can enjoy major gains. We trimmed inessential weight in the upper, midsole and outsole without sacrificing performance.

Awesome shoe! Super fast and aggressive. The fit is true to size and I was able to get a very secure fit with a heel lock lace tie. Seems like a true sequel to the Vaporfly 2 (and OG Vaporfly) vs the Vaporfly 3. Maybe not as “squishy” as the Alphafly 3, but folks who need the added stability might find that a positive! Overall amazing super shoe!
