By 1970, the Chuck had evolved to become the pinnacle of function and utility for sport, and was considered the best basketball sneaker ever. The Chuck 70 is built off of the original 1970s design, with premium materials and an extraordinary attention to detail. A shoe so rooted in tradition that it has its own instant history. That's the Chuck 70. It's not a shoe. It's the shoe.

I'm a sexagenarian and purchased my favorite pair of Chuck Taylor All Star Canvas summer comfy-cool shoes for 2025. I wear a size eight in other shoes. I wear a standard Men's 5/Womens 7. They are PERFECT. Thank You.

  • Wife loves them

I could not be happier with the quality and style of this shoe or Converse customer service. I saw they run big and recommended 8.5 to my wife. She said she's a 9. The 9 was too big. Converse made the exchange so easy. Thanks guys and gals for great service and awesome shoes

  • Easily worth it

After leveling up to the Chuck 70s a few years ago, I was forever sold. They're way more comfy, look a bit nicer, and are a better value overall. The ones I 've been wearing have already lasted 5 years (!!!) and are just now starting to really break down, whereas with the regulars I was burning through a new pair every year (or two, at most). One thing to note: I got the wide ones this time – awesome! – but had to go down from men's size 11 to men's size 10.5. I've worn Chucks for decades, always in an 11, but the wide ones fit a little differently (in a good way) meaning I know longer need as much length as before. I tried 11 wide and 10.5 wide, so I was able to get an on-foot 1:1 comparison, and the difference was immediately clear. If you know your size in Converse, go down a half from that when order the wide ones. Oh, one gripe... These need to have a tongue loop or some elastic to hold the tongue in place. As before, I'll end up having to cut my own lace loops. Otherwise perfect.
