- The recycled polyester used in Nike products begins as recycled plastic bottles, which are cleaned, shredded into flakes and converted into pellets. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought a pair of these shorts a few months ago and I absolutely loved them for running that I had to go back and buy them in more colors. They are light, airy, and breathable. They have the inner lining but it’s not noticeable. I also like that they’re higher wasted than most running shorts.
