  • Streaklyfly 2 / nach ersten 6 KM Schaumstoff ausgefranst

    DirkB994039988 - 17 avr. 2025

  • Light, fast, but some durability concerns.

    Isaac560f09489ae84075a797953877d425ad - 16 avr. 2025

The shoes feel alot lighter and faster than the original streakfly, and the upper Is a mutch better fit especially at the front of the shoe. The shoe would be great for faster sessions, but I would save it for only racing in as the durability doesn't seem to be that good.

  • Nike Streakfly 2: Race Day’s Lightweight Game-Changer

    eikeka - 15 avr. 2025

If you’re looking to keep your nose ahead of the pack on race day without sacrificing that responsive, “barely-there” feel, the Nike Streakfly 2 might just be your new secret weapon. This street racing shoe is built for competition—whether you’re tackling a 10k or taking on a full marathon (at least the german description says that). Feel the Full Throttle Thanks to a continuous carbon flyplate, the Streakfly 2 delivers a super dynamic ride from the first step to the finish line. This flyplate isn’t just a pretty feature; it literally propels you forward, ensuring every stride is smooth and responsive. Coupled with Nike’s ultra-responsive ZoomX foam, the midsole feels so light you might forget you’re wearing a shoe at all. Tech Specs at a Glance Midsole Material: Ultra-reactive ZoomX foam for explosive energy return. Carbon Flyplate: Runs continuously through the midsole to boost propulsion. Upper: Minimalist, streamlined mesh that hugs your foot like a second skin. Drop: 4 mm, providing a low, natural platform for a direct ground feel. Weight: Approximately 145 g (for Men’s size 44); my size 47 pair came in around 155 g each. What’s New? The standout upgrade in the Streakfly 2 is its all-new continuous carbon flyplate. It gives the shoe an undeniably race-ready vibe and makes a noticeable difference compared to its predecessor. The combination of the flyplate and ZoomX foam translates into a shoe that’s not only light and fast but also delivers a punchy, responsive ride every single step of the way. My Experience on the Track and Road I’m no stranger to pounding the pavement—I clock in between 60 and 90 km per week and have previously rocked the original Streakfly model for 5k races. I tested the Streakfly 2 on two different sessions: one was a 6x6-minute threshold workout on the track at 3:40/km pace, and the other was a more relaxed road run at 4:15/km pace. The shoe felt impressively direct and surprisingly stable, even though it sports a look that might remind you of track spikes. While the cushioning is solid and the ride is dynamic, the fit is a bit on the snug side. In my size 47, there’s only about 0.5cm extra space at the toe box—tight but comfortable, like a performance sock rather than a pain-inducing clamp. Pros and Cons Pros: Explosive Propulsion: The flyplate and ZoomX combo makes every step count. Ultra-Lightweight: You feel almost weightless, which is perfect for speeding up. Responsive Ride: The shoe delivers great energy return with every stride. Cool Aesthetic: It may look like a pair of track spikes, but that design really underscores its race-ready spirit. Cons: Durability Concerns: After just two training sessions (one on the track), I noticed some wear—particularly at the rear. The two “braking pads” intended to manage friction seem to leave a gap where foam has started peeling off. In comparison, I haven’t seen such issues with my previous Streakfly, Vaporfly 2, or Asics Metaspeed Sky+. Narrow Fit: The snug, sock-like fit might not work for everyone, especially if you prefer a bit more room in the toe box. Final Thoughts The Nike Streakfly 2 is a seriously exciting option for experienced runners who crave speed and responsiveness in a race shoe. If you’re already used to a bit of instability and can handle a race-day shoe that sacrifices some everyday durability for ultra-light performance, this might be your perfect match. It packs top-tier tech at a competitive price—especially with future sales. Just be prepared for the fact that if you push hard on aggressive workouts, you might need to keep an eye on its longevity. Overall, for those ready to take their racing game up a notch, the Streakfly 2 offers an unbeatable blend of lightweight propulsion and reactivity—just remember, it’s built for the fast lane, not necessarily for long-term training wear.
