Nike Metcon 1 OG

The Nike Metcon 1 OG is a top-tier training shoe with unbeatable stability, grip, and a wide footprint. Its low stack height and firm heel make deadlifts and squats feel rock-solid, while the rubber outsole grips the floor like glue—perfect for heavy lifts. The wide toe box is a game-changer for balance and comfort, especially for wider feet. I’d love to see more color options, especially the iconic “Banned” black-and-red colorway—sadly discontinued, but Nike should bring it back! Still, this shoe’s a classic that delivers on performance.

ジムで履く用に購入。ジムでは主にGroupFight、GroupPower、UBoundその他のスタジオプログラムで使用。まずは、到着が早かった。申し込んだ翌々日の午前中に到着（２３区内）。サイズは、長さ、幅とも通常のサイズどおりでジャストフィット。フラットにぴたっと床に吸い付き、ぶれないグリップ感。軽いが堅牢、しかし指を甲側に曲げる動き（例えばランジの後ろ足）においても抵抗少なくしなやかに曲がる。走る用ではないからここは仕方ないところではあるが、クッション性が少ないためランニングマシンではバタ足のようになってしまい、使いづらさも感じられた。総じて格好よく目立っていて気に入っている。

メトコンは6, 7, 9, 1 OGと使ってきましたが、これ良いです。やっぱりflywireはフィット感良いし、シンプルでスリークな見た目もトレーニング時に気分アガります。履き口のクッションはもう少し増やしてもくれても良いけど。出来ればモデルチェンジせずに定番化してラインナップして欲しいな。
