I was recommended this sneaker when it was first released for running and I am going to purchase another pair! I use them for walking and running and can say they are by far the most comfortable sneaker I’ve ever purchased. It feels like you’re walking on air and they make running a breeze. I always had an issue with sneakers and running causing pain in my knees and ankles but these shoes have just the right amount of cushioning to support my legs. Highly recommend!

Vomero 17 vs. Vomero 18 – Why 17 wins
Thomas4fbd783012684b358279cbf10dc900eb - 07 Apr 2025
After testing both, I can confidently say the Vomero 17 is the better all-rounder. Here’s why: Much more durable – the outsole of the 17 holds up way better. More stable, especially helpful for light supinators. Faster feel – you can pick up the pace without the shoe feeling sluggish. Way better on mixed terrain – gravel, forest trails, dirt roads, no problem. Handles corners better and feels more controlled overall. In contrast, the Vomero 18 feels limited: Only really suited for runners with ideal mechanics (neutral stride, good form). More at home on slow, easy runs on asphalt. Less supportive for anyone who needs a touch more structure or off-road capability. Even though I’ve had the Vomero 18 for a few weeks, I just reordered the Vomero 17. It's the superior shoe for my needs — more versatile, more durable, and currently even available at a discount. From recovery jogs to threshold sessions, in any season and on almost any surface, the Vomero 17 delivers. With the 17 you go out and "just do it". The use of the 18 is limited, but it is not a bad shoe, besides high wear and tear of the sole.

Ganz ungewohnte Sohle für einen Vomero . Die hohe Ferse verlagert das Gewicht extrem auf den Vorderfuß. Sehr enttäuscht von dieser Version.

Nike Vomero 18

Double-stacked cushion
The overstuffed feel of ZoomX and ReactX foam are combined for the first time in one midsole: one for durability and response, the other for next-level cushioning that's 18% softer than the Vomero 17.

Higher and higher
With a 46mm heel stack, the Vomero 18 takes runners to new heights, increasing overall stance by 6mm compared with the Vomero 17.

"I like the Vomero 18 because I can move fast in it and it's cushioned enough that it doesn't beat me up".
