- The recycled polyester used in Nike products begins as recycled plastic bottles, which are cleaned, shredded into flakes and converted into pellets. As someone with a bigger head (size 7 1/2), I’ve always struggled to find hats that aren’t too small. The L/XL fit perfectly and was comfortable during my long runs.
