Saw these in the store and was extremely excited to see them return to the lighter weight material. But … the loss of zippered pockets makes the gain a complete loss. My spouse and I both only wear Nike trail specifically for the older versions light weight and the security of not loosing items in our pockets. As a female the 5” length was perfect and they had one thing the women’s shorts always miss on… lots of pockets & secure pockets for your items. Disappointed in the change in security but happy they have gone back to the lighter material. Maybe the next version will go back to the original and have both.

These shorts are phenomenal. They are very comfortable, they are the perfect length, and they look fashionable. I have used these shorts on a number of occasions and they hold up perfectly. They run true to size so make sure you get your actual size. I would highly recommend getting these shorts if you are in the market for good quality shorts. YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED.

I wore the shorts for running, and they felt comfortable. I feel like the run small to my liking and the inside brief is not of my liking. The material is soft and durable. I will keep using the shorts for running and working out.

The MOST comfortable athletic wear
These running shorts are incredibly light and supportive, giving me the freedom to move without feeling weighed down. Initially, I was skeptical about the length, as it’s not something I’d typically go for, but the design completely won me over. I love the clever pocket that hides the tie strings—it’s such a thoughtful detail. The zippers are perfect for storing small essentials like my ID and chapstick. The fabric is light, breathable, and great for temperature control during my runs. What impressed me the most was how flexible the shorts were; they moved with me every step of the way, enhancing my running experience. The only thing I’d change is opting for a darker shade, as the light gray showed sweat marks a bit more than I would’ve liked.

I’m so surprised that these shorts have a total of 8 pockets and what I assume are 2 key hooks! Some are smaller than others and none are as secure as the zippered one on the back, but it’s nice to have the option to carry more essentials without needing a bag. I’m not crazy about the color blocking but that can be overlooked due to the functionality (especially if it were all black in my opinion). I was initially confused about the drawcord strings in the back but I think it’s meant to adjust the length of the shorts depending on the runner. Not much use of that for me but again it’s nice to have the option! The material itself is soft and comfortable- kinda what you’d expect from typical running shorts. I went true to size on these but kinda wish I went up a size just because I don’t like things too tight/short when I run. Great pair overall!

Nike Second Sunrise Men's 5" Dri-FIT ADV Brief-Lined Running Shorts
I really like the feel of the shorts. When wearing these shorts to play basketball, I loved how they are very lightweight. The fabric provided me with a breathable and moisture-wicking feel that was very comfortable. The shorts were a bit snug when I first put them on but when playing basketball, they were very flexible. The waistband was flexible on my body and didn’t dig in my thighs while running. The style of the shorts provided me with ample amounts of space to place my keys and my phone. I also like the inner-lined of the shorts that provide me with support. The amount of space to store things was one of my favorite parts of these shorts, including the loops to latch things onto them. One thing I would change about these shorts would be the fitting of the shorts once I first put them on. The shorts are comfortable but for someone with thicker thighs, the internal lining could cut into the thigh. I would get a size bigger just for my thighs.

These are some very comfortable shorts. The design was well thought out. I really appreciated having all of the extra pockets. They fit true to size and the color combo made it easy to match with. While walking/ running the shorts did not get in the way or cause any discomfort. These shorts made it easy to for me to do my hiking, running and walking when I wore them.

Tampa Bay is Hot But Nike Second Sunrise Men's 5" Dri-FIT ADV Brief-Lined Running Shorts Are Hotter
Tampa Bay is hot, but the Nike Second Sunrise Men's 5" Dri-FIT ADV Brief-Lined Running Shorts are hotter. These shorts are perfect for our hiking adventures in Tampa Bay. Whether we are hiking on short trails at Lettuce Lake Park or the longer trails at Hillsborough River State Park these shorts are sure to keep my guy cool and dry. The fit of the shorts are true to size and the feel is lightweight, and provides a sweat-wicking outer short with an inner brief for the coverage and support needed during hikes. Immediately, the design caught our eye, the college grey and stone color was neutral to match with any top. My favorite feature is the back pocket to secure my phone for a technology free hike and all the loops which came in handy for my stick poles found on the trail. After buying the 5" style, we purchased a second pair in the longer 7". I already know these shorts will be a long standing staple in my closet for all our outdoor adventures.

I use these to go on my day runs. They are super comfortable and light. They fit true to size. During the run, they wick moisture and I can hardly notice wearing them. There is a back pocket for key or something. I also wear these during training/cardio sessions. My wife really likes thems They look stylish and stay in place even during intense runs. I would recommend these to friends and family. I also like wearing these with tights under during cold mornings or obstacle course runs. I had a great experience wearing these during endurance sports.

Perfect shorts for the active Woman

I chose the 5 inch length for my 5’1” height to provide coverage without the extra bunching. The waist pockets fit my phone and AirPod case perfectly and comfortably to give me hands free while running.
