Slam Jam

In the 16 years since Slam Jam first collaborated with Nike, the Italian powerhouse has remained at the forefront of the urban scene. Slam Jam’s mission is to amplify the energy of the street with bold designs that reimagine Nike icons and highlight moments in history.

In 2004, the Nike x Slam Jam collab debuted with the Terminator. Inspired by the 1985 pair designed for Georgetown University’s basketball team, this limited drop came in two colourways, including Green Glaze and Black.

Four years later, Slam Jam next took on a classic: 1982’s iconic Air Force 1. In line with the ‘less is more’ philosophy of the AF-1, the timeless design was not changed at all.

Instead, a particular type of patent leather was created to give an exclusive crumpled effect that was accentuated by four colourways: Red, Black, Grey and Yellow.

The collaboration resumed in 2019, with the Blazer Mid ‘Class 77’. Details included ‘Class’ and ‘1977’ on the heels and a reverse Swoosh on the inside. The pair came in Off-White and Grey, and Black and White.

Slam Jam and Nike’s latest collab rethinks OG Dunk details like the Swoosh. Slam Jam’s signature style is also reflected in the reverse logo on the tongue and classic colourways.
