Hi, I’m Tom I’m a menswear designer and pattern-cutter based in south-east London.

I was collecting football tops for like years and years and years, realizing that loads of them were arriving damaged.

Second half basically started from using the damage scraps that I had, and then scanning them in creating sort of a new format with them, giving them a second half of life basically.

These tops are all going to landfill otherwise, the stats are crazy for the amount of waste there’s going to be if not, so yeah when those tops are arriving I’ll just take them apart and then I’m just deconstructing and reconstructing them, cutting off the damaged bits, re-piecing them back together.

I studied fashion design —I studied menswear and I was specializing in sportswear within that.

I mean, for me Total 90s have always been at the heart of football culture and its being a massive reference point for my own work, so seeing them bringing back iconic silhouettes as well as new designs is exactly what the game needed.
