My name's Corey Populus. I'm from Los Angeles, California. I actually got my start right here on Fairfax. I used to work at one of the stores here, just one of the kids that hung out on the block. You know what I mean?

I think that's what led me here today to starting my own brand. I've been doing Circulate for about seven years. I think the story of Air Max inspires me because it was able to push culture forward, and that's what I try to do on my work, is keep progressing culture and making new things. And I think the t-shirt is the best canvas for a billboard. 

I grew up in this neighborhood and this is where most of the sneaker stores were, and we used to have things like camp outs and meetups. They just helped shape me in the way that I love sneakers and some of my first sneakers were things like Air Max 95 Neons and the Air Max One. Even Kid Robots. There's a pair of Kid Robots here, and I was super hyped to see those.

Being in the present Air Max Dn8 portal, it was really cool. I love the bold colors. Everything had this crazy gradient and green and just stood out. As an individual, in my work, I like to stand out. 

One of my boldest moves similar to the Dn8 style - dropping out of art school. I dropped out of art school to hang out on Fairfax. If I hadn't took that path, I'd probably work for an agency or something like that. I wouldn't be doing what I am today and having my own business. Sometimes you have to make those bold moves to go the road less traveled. Wouldn't trade for the world.

Being in that future portal of the Air Max 1000 is really inspiring for the future because as a creative, you always have to embrace the future. Things are only moving forward at a mile a minute, and I think when you see things like the Air Max 1000, that just gives you an idea and hope that things are progressing and we're not going backwards.

I think the future of Circulate is continuing to push culture forward and opening the door for the next generation of creatives. Thank you for hanging out with me today at the Air Max experience. Peace.
