This shoe is a nice, low-priced option for folks who want a really good looking, light trainer for tempo and speed work - and potentially race day for up to 5K (maybe 10K max). OR... a comfy, stylish shoe for casual wear. I bought a pair on sale to compliment my high-mile trainer and I didn't want to drop $200+ on the vaporfly. I'm very satisfied and I've gotten a ton of compliments on them already.

Surprisingly good, comfy and affordable speed shoe

Comfy

Very comfortable! But they run small so I had to return my 1st pair and order a 1/2 size up. Also, they’re narrow so if you have wide feet these are not for you.
Not great, but good value

I love most of the colorways, and it certainly wouldn't be a bad cheap shoe for just kicking around in. I believe this shoe is aimed at high school and college XC/track athletes, as a lightweight speedwork and possible racing shoe, and I think for that purpose it'll be OK. It's certainly not the best shoe in its category, but for the price it's decent, and a good value. It fits slightly shorter than the Pegasus, and has a shallow toebox similar to the Pegasus 41, but wasn't bothersome while running. The toebox is a bit wider than I'm used for Nike, the middle part of the lacing system is a bit weird, and the laces are a bit slick, making it more difficult than it needs to be to get a good lockdown. Overall, the upper is pretty comfortable. The Cushlon foam feels like it does in the Structure: with some squish, reasonably comfortable, and not particularly responsive, but the Zoom Air unit will give you some response if you put some force into it. It's a low stack shoe, so it has more ground feel than most running shoes. It should be good on soft surfaces like in XC and track. It's not too bad on asphalt, but it's definitely not a long run shoe. Traction seems good. The outsole rubber isn't thick, which isn't unusual for this category of shoe. The shoe should be decently durable though. The midfoot is a bit narrow and wobbly, and it's certainly not a shoe for those with medial stability needs, but the lateral stability actually seems decent (certainly better than the Pegasus). It has a weirdly sharp heel bevel that feels awkward while walking or jogging, but isn't bothersome when running. The shoe feels like it wants to go fast, and is pretty nimble. I think the biggest positive is that the foam is more supportive than the softer foams used in some competing shoes, so it shouldn't bottom out as easily, and should be a better option for bigger runners. For negatives, the shoe isn't as fast as others, as the foam isn't very responsive, and the shoe is much heavier than it should be. 9oz for a men's 9 (and I'm a 12.5) is just way too heavy for a shoe in this category; it should be more like 7-8oz, and the weight difference is noticeable vs. competing shoes. I think it's a good shoe for speedwork, and certainly good value for what it delivers, but there are better shoes in its category and better options for racing.
