Bottom sounds like it's plastic

I like the shoes since I wore Vomero before but the sole is not rubber. When I walk it sounds like I'm wearing tap shoes or there's plastic at the bottom of the shoes.

More of walking shoes than running. Definitely need to size up. I’m usually a 5.5-6 and ordered this in 6.5 but still feel tight. Would buy size 7 if I order again
