The Converse x Patta Weapons caught me by surprise! My intent was black sneakers to serve a duel function - civilian work and casual wear. Next, they had to have durability, none of that multi fabric mesh trash companies label "durable" and "eco friendly". And I certainly wasn't going to get slip-on sneakers. Those are a joke and a hazzard in my opinion and have a very short wear cycle. The CxPW however, are Cordura build material with reflective properties for outdoor visibility, rain/water resistant (not to be confused with water proof), have the weight and drop of a boot with the comfort of a sneaker, and came with extra set of laces. Also, at time of purchase, my typical Converse size 7 women was out of stock. I ordered the 7.5 in hopes they would fit. Thankfully they did and I believe its because sizing doesn't take into account the sock liner these do have built in. So, keep that in mind if you are coming from a non-sock lined Converse.

This shoe is built to last. Neutral styling makes them easy to roll into any occasion. They come a bit stiff, but its clear that the quality construction is there and I expect them to weather well as I add miles. Looking forward to what the Cordura upper will do long-term. Add them to your rotation.
