I was not a huge fan of the low rise versions for coverage reasons and upon trying these on I fell in love. They have slightly more coverage, are super lightweight, beautiful colors, and they are great for strength training and running. Overall a great purchase for the spring/ summer. I’d recommend going a size up because they do fit slightly small but also because of the slit in the leg it would be easy to get away with going true to size if you are fine with a tighter waist band.

The best workout shorts

Beautiful but Runs a Bit Big

The previous version felt more weightless and airy, and was better fitting. This version is beautiful but fits a bit bigger and feels less performance oriented. I am a solid XS in all Nike but the liner feels loose on these, as does the waist. Overall quality and style is excellent and the bright pink is super fun. I will use these for training but will go with a different race day option unless they restock the XXS (which is crazy - my waist is 27-28” so closer to an XS/S!!). Love the extra gel pockets on this version too.

Not liking the new style with the thicker waistband. The sides pucker out also, on me anyway. I like the older version, which felt lighter and airy-er. Hoping my daughter will like them, as I rarely do returns.
