The year was '06 New York. The yellows looked like this. I looked like this. Oranges looked like this, and the blues looked like this.

What's up? My name is Stash, graffiti artist from Brooklyn, New York.
I'm Robbie Williams, senior brand creative of sneaker culture & footwear curation for the Department of Nike Archives. And this is Then & Now.

So now this brings us to 2006 with the actual Blue Pack.
 was able to introduce a 95, but alongside an Air Force 1 and we dubbed it the "Blue Pack".

On the 95, I found some really beautiful tumbled leather and some really amazing nubuck. I was really trying to bring a fabric story with texture and colour. Graffiti, a lot of what we do is based on colour schemes.

We communicate through colour, certain things that heads would see and know it was you. So that brings us to now. Blue is back. The expression "hold that thought", that's been held for quite a long time. Funnily enough, what I wanted to do then I couldn't do then.

We can do now. The idea of welding Ripstop material and then rolling it into the original nubuck down into that tumbled leather—this is almost 20 years apart.

You know, when you look at the silhouette of the Air Force 1, I just get to enhance that. I don't want to take away from it, and I hope I did that. Utilising the "then" of the stitching and the way the fabric comes together with the seam, tumbled leather, the same dope nubuck …

… but bringing in newer technology. I wanted to bring something back to sort of mirror what I had hoped to try and do then, now. I feel I earned my place and I'm very happy to still be having this relationship with the brand …

… for you know, God, I mean, we're talking 20-something years.
