Bought this vest with the intention of having an extra layer on top when the weather isn't too cold for a jacket. The vest does a great job keeping me warm whether I'm wearing it with a shirt or hoodie. The collar does have fleece on it and it does a great job keeping my neck warm also. One feature I do like is the locking zippers which is a nice touch. In terms of sizing, I'd say stay true to size.
