Nike ISPA

Metamorph Poncho

€599.99

This hybrid piece from our ISPA Collection adapts to your environment by converting between a poncho and sunshade. That's right, a sunshade! Here's how it works: using collapsible poles, the water-repellent poncho morphs into a sunshade, while the vent cover doubles as a carrying bag for both the poncho and poles. We've included instructions, don't worry. For extra coverage, the Nike Forward material combines multiple thin layers of selected fibres for an exceptionally lightweight feel and warmth all year round. The ISPA ethos is on full display with this highly innovative, multifunctional design.

How This Was Made

  • The recycled nylon in Nike products begins as a variety of materials, including recycled carpet and used fish nets. The nylon is cleaned, sorted and converted into flakes before undergoing chemical or mechanical recycling processes to create new, recycled nylon yarns.
  • Garments that use materials made from recycled nylon reduce carbon emissions by up to 50% compared to virgin nylon.

  • Wish they would have made a way to close the door flap.

Very disappointed, the “sunshade” does not close, but yet they incorporated enough materials for the door flap that serves no purpose at all. Don’t get me wrong it is very good quality as most if not all Nike products are!! And the engineering behind this product is absolutely astonishing.I just can’t wrap my head around the fact that they did not incorporate a way to close the opening if the door flap is already there. It would be different if there was simply not enough materials to put the flap there to begin with. I just don’t understand why the incorporated it.

Love it so far! Just off its multifunctional purposes. Two-person sunshade! It does have a bit of weight, so no backpackers, this is for a day/hike. Looking forward to taking it out on the trail at Olympic National Park!
