My name is Asha Harper, I'm a footwear design lead for the Catalyst Team.
I'm Jessica Washick, I am a colour and material design director.

He's like a visionary in a playground, it's like endless and the ideas just keep on flowing.

I found him to be very referential and nostalgic, always adding in this thought provoking direction to help just move everything forwards.

Challenge us into what else we can do, in such a short amount of time.
The base design of the shoe was inspired by the Vintage Dunk High, in Neutral Grey and Sail.

We really obsessed over the White space, making sure that it was more of a putty White and sort of yellowing, rather than a bright, bright White.

We would send every sample that we got to Virgil.
He would then pitch feedback into the WhatsApp group and then send that to the factory and they would then provide us with the next set of samples.

Colour Design is the art of harmonising colour spaces together and then bringing in an emotional connection through colour and applying that philosophy onto the product.

We talked about the shoe colour having restraint, but still with the pop of obscure colours like Lapis and Chartreuse.

So, the idea was to keep the base colour of the shoe neutral and then play up the fun parts that were new to the Dunk, so the Overlaces, the Zip Tie and the Rubber Piece on the Midsole.
