A versatile running shoe makes all the difference to your performance, whether you're doing laps around the track or jogging on bumpy terrain. The Nike Pegasus Turbo Next Nature—which was launched in 2022—fits the bill.

Because of the versatile foam used to create the shoe, the Nike Pegasus Turbo Next Nature forms a sock-like fit around your foot, helping to keep the shoe in place regardless of the conditions. The Nike Pegasus Turbo Next Nature can handle everything from a mountainous area to a muddy trail.

The Nike Pegasus Turbo Next Nature shoes are made with at least 50 percent recycled material by weight and 100 percent recycled Flyknit yarn. The Flyknit yarn was dyed in a process that saves 70 litres of water for every kilogram of yarn produced, contributing to the shoe's sustainability attributes.

The Flyknit yarn also helps ensure the Nike Pegasus Turbo Next Nature will fit securely on your feet, helping you transition across different terrain without breaking your stride.

Ahead of the Nike Pegasus Turbo Next Nature release date, Nike surveyed runners to determine which components athletes most wanted in a running shoe in 2022. Studies showed that runners wanted a versatile, sustainably minded shoe with more foam underfoot.

Based on this feedback, the Nike Pegasus Turbo Next Nature features a foam midsole, over half of which is recycled foam scrap from the Nike ZoomX shoes. The recycled foam scraps make the shoe extra lightweight. Because of the extra foam underfoot, the shoe is light and easily adaptable to your stride, whatever the terrain. In addition, the tread is designed to provide maximum grippy traction.

As part of Nike's goal to achieve a net zero carbon footprint by 2050, the company has released several other footwear options made from recycled materials. Released a year before the Nike Pegasus Turbo Next Nature, the 2021 Air Zoom AlphaFly Next Nature showed the world that a top-tier performance shoe could be made from recycled materials. Like the Nike Pegasus Turbo Next Nature, the 2021 Air Zoom AlphaFly Next Nature shoes were created with at least 50 percent total recycled content by weight. What's more, the Air Zoom AlphaFly Next Nature shoes continued the work started by Nike Cosmic Unity, Nike's first basketball shoes designed with sustainability in mind, which were released in early 2021.

The Nike Pegasus Turbo Next Nature shoes' bright colourways also set them apart from previous models. You can pair the Nike Pegasus Turbo Next Nature's red and blue hues with almost any colour of athletic wear.
