This special Kobe edition of the AF-1 takes inspiration from one of the many shoes Kobe wore throughout the 2002–2003 season. More specifically, this was during his sneaker-free agency after he bought himself out of his previous contract and before officially signing with Nike. The original that he wore on court was a mid version of the AF-1 that celebrated Kobe's career with Los Angeles, featuring Varsity Maize and Varsity Purple accents. We kept the AF-1's crisp leather overlays, Air cushioning and signature round-toe design. Plus, with layered Swoosh logos and a matching Varsity Maize outsole, this legendary low top comes drenched in Mamba DNA—Kobe's Sheath logo and number are stitched on the heel, while the debossed Sheath logo on the outer heel elevates the finish. Bringing two legends together, this 'Home' colourway honours one of the most storied signature athlete legacies.
