Nike Pegasus 41 x Doernbecher Freestyle

As part of the Doernbecher Freestyle program, which gives young patients the opportunity to work with our Nike design team, Tima created his very own feline-inspired Pegasus 41. The shoe features his love for his cat, Murka, who playfully hangs off our iconic logo. Glow-in-the-dark paw prints on the upper, a fuzzy lace patch resembling his favorite cat stuffie and a big paw print on the outsole round out this purr-fect design. The tropical colors honor Tima’s bone marrow donor, who lives in Florida. You can find her name on the tips of the laces, next to the date of his transplant.
Since 2004, Nike’s Doernbecher Freestyle Program has raised $40 million for OHSU Doernbecher Children's Hospital. This special partnership gives young patients the opportunity to work with Nike designers to create their own Nike and Jordan Brand sneakers. Their one-of-a-kind shoes are sold at retail—with every penny going to the children’s hospital.
