Chicago Collaborators' Collection
The Jordan Chicago Collaborators' Collection serves as a canvas for the Chicago creative community to paint a picture of their neighborhoods through lifestyle footwear and apparel. It started with insights from Jordan Wings students and how one of the parts about Chicago that unites the city is its transit system. Therefore, each collaborative partner used one of the eight transit line colors to bring their vision to life and reimagined what Unite means to them and to the city.

Wings
The Jordan Chicago Collaborators' Collection for NBA All-Star 2020 serves as a canvas for the Chicago creative community to represent their neighborhoods through footwear and apparel. Each collaborative partner used specific transit line colors to enliven their ideas and reimagine what Jordan Brand’s UNITE rallying cry means to them and to the city of Chicago.
The Wings Design Program connects high school students with introductory educational programming geared towards the footwear and apparel industries. Four of those students from participating Chicago organizations—Embarc, Enlace, Link Limited and Little Black Pearl—lent their unique skills and perspectives to this reworked retro, with the mission of repping their hometown’s famed grit and world-renowned architecture. The weather-ready design arrives with an upper of white tumbled leather. Taking cues from an iconic statue in the city’s center, the shoe features glimmering metallic silver mudguards. Bright, asymmetrical accents represent distinct public transportation routes. A green insole and icy blue outsole complete this tribute to the Windy City.

Virgil Abloh
After turning heads during its debut on the runway in Paris, Virgil Abloh’s latest collaboration arrives just in time for a gathering of basketball’s elite in Chicago. A native of Rockford, IL, Abloh understands the deep cultural impact of MJ’s legacy in the Windy City. Using the model’s OG “Black Metallic” colorway as a base, the style incorporates Off-White’s signature deconstructed approach. Translucent textile and cutouts in the midfoot and collar offer an elusive peek into the shoe’s inner workings. Off-White’s signature text sits on the medial side panel, depicting detailed production specs while recognizing the silhouette’s birth in Beaverton.
