A new vision for the future requires a new creative ethos.
The result is a collection woven with a common thread, connecting a global black community in pursuit of individual truth and generational progress.
This year’s Black History Month release is about more than honoring African-American history. It’s about acknowledging a world community made up of individuals with shared stories, struggles, and triumphs. Notice the loose threads hanging from this year’s AF1, physical representations of the connections we share through sport while also providing a way to customize each shoe. A mirrored panel on the toebox reminds us that this BHM edition AF1 is also made to reflect the wearer’s image.

Heritage
Introduced in 1982, the Air Force 1 redefined basketball footwear from the hardwood to the blacktop. It was the first basketball sneaker to house Nike Air, but its innovative nature has since taken a backseat to its status as a street icon.
