DE LO MIO
Since hitting the scene in 1982, the Air Force 1 has always been a canvas for self-expression. An unstoppable force that was adopted by New York City’s most fashion forward, the AF1 has always been synonymous with Uptown. This iconic silhouette was the perfect platform to pay homage to one of NYC’s most influential cultures and communities; Dominicans. Used as a term of endearment for a close friend, the spirit of ‘De Lo Mio’ is the true embodiment of All For 1.
These unsung heroes who’ve made the migration from the DR to NYC are represented with a lenticular University Red and Sport Blue Swoosh, symbolizing a vibrant yet smooth transition from one island to the next. The AF1 ‘De Lo Mio’ was a collaborative design process that saw NYC native Cesar Perez share his inspirations and stories with Nike designers to create a thoughtful tribute to the people, culture and customs of the Dominican Republic.

HERITAGE
Introduced in 1982, the Air Force 1 redefined basketball footwear from the hardwood to the blacktop. It was the first basketball sneaker to house Nike Air, but its innovative nature has since taken a backseat to its status as a street icon.
