Chicago's a hardworking city. City of grit, city of grime, city of hustle.

My name is LaVelle V-Dot Sykes from Succezz. Born and raised in Chicago. I'm Bobby Simmons. I'm from the south side of Chicago, Altgeld Gardens. I met LaVelle when I was in college. He was working at Tony Sports. He was my customer first, then became my great friend. Now's a brother of mine.

Now we family. 17 years later, look at us, still rocking Succezz. To see two guys from the city of Chicago who has a grinder mentality. It's a big existence. 17 plus years now. It's a blessing. And every store has come and go.

We still here fighting, still pushing 40 years later. Still here, pushing still rockin'. It's still here just like us, like Chicago. We're not going nowhere soon, nowhere fast. But one thing we're going to do is win.

We had collectively the same mindset from the way we grew up, myself and LaVelle. So we came up with the name of Succezz with two Zs, not two S's. The two Zs in Succezz means that we don't sleep.

We are a hardworking city. Chicago is like the city of grind and hustle. I watch my mom, my pops, my aunts, my uncles, my grandmother get up five o'clock and go to work every day. Well, the community I grew up in was public housing. So like you said...

You have a worker's mentality. When you think about the city of Chicago and public housing, it's a grind every day. This is what Succezz is all about. We going to drive and we going to figure out what's driving us. My drive, my passion comes from me putting my city on. Really, it's about my city.

I don't think no business in the city of Chicago would be existing without the community. 

Retro 1 came from Chicago. The Jordan came from Chicago, Mike came from Chicago. So I think this really started here with the impact of a great player named Michael Jordan that started this whole culture. We look at the Succezz as a brand. We don't play it safe. Just like Mike

We've determined to win. I just love my city and I love what we do for it and life's what you make it. If I played it safe, nah, not an option for me man, ain't no safe for me. It's either all in or all out. Pick a side.
