Super cool! I loved this colorway when I found it first time online and I knew they would get marked down, and they did. So, I got them like 40 percent off and they are definitely great CrossFit type shoes. I don’t think you can run in them for more than 1 km or 0.6 mile, but they are great lifting and plyometrics shoes for me. They feel super stable; the heel design really allows them to hug your heel securely and there is no fit issue for me with this pair. I think they are a bit more comfortable than the metcon 8, but for me the 8 feels a bit more solid when lifting heavy. The met 8 runs true to size and the 9 seems to be about a few mm shorter in the same size 10 US. My friends say it’s my paranoid feeling, but I think the 8 runs longer and narrower. I think the midsole unit of this shoes is softer than the old foam in the 8, so it is more versatile but a bit less solid than the 8 or the 7. I think they are some of the best lifting shoes and much better than the Reebok nano X4. I think for pure lifting heavy weight kind of gym workout, the 8 may be still the best shoes, but the 9 is a tiny bit more versatile all around performer! If I can be brutally honest, I was not interested in the Met 9 and planned to skip it , but I could not resist this colorway and bought them.
