NikeCourt Air Zoom Vapor Pro What did you think about the fit and feel of this shoe? I was extremely excited to receive this shoe to test but since I don’t have a regular tennis partner to play and train with it proved difficult to get as many sessions in as I would have liked. Needless to say I didn’t let that stop me from putting this lightweight premium option through the paces so I can give the best feedback. Fresh out of the box, the first thing I noticed when I laced them up was the fit. Strangely, the best shoe I can compare it to would be the Kobe A.D. line. The lockdown and low center of gravity made the shoe feel extremely responsive. What did you think about the design of this shoe? Unlike the React vapor NXT, the Vapor Pro’s design seems to be less flash and more function. The technology is apparent and I can tell the upper is more breathable and the lacing provides lots of support to keep my foot from sliding around. I’m a size 12 but I usually size up in athletic shoes because my right foot is a 1/2 size bigger and needs the extra room while in shuffling around; but with this design, my left foot felt just as snug while moving around on the court. Was this shoe comfortable enough to wear all day long? I decided to make this shoe my daily driver just because I knew with the weather getting colder I wouldn’t get as much time playing on court as I would in the warmer months. I wore it to workout at the gym, shopping for groceries, and running errands on the weekends and this is a shoe that I could wear all day. I didn’t have trouble with breaking in the shoe either. What did you like most about this shoe? What would you change? The midsole height is probably the best feature of this shoe. I love that it feels so low to the ground. It makes me more confident running across court and playing into a slide. The grip was not the best but I attribute that to playing on older community courts that need resurfacing. So even though I slide around a lot I was not very fearful of pulling a muscle or tripping over myself. I hope this makes sense. I really enjoyed the Vapor Pro and I think it’s a great upgrade to the Vapor 10.

The Nike Zoom Vapor Pro is a superior tennis shoe design. From the beautiful pearl accents on the bottom to the intriguing lava swirled plastic clips on the sides but don’t let the beauty distract you from the beast of a work horse this shoe is. Nike continues to improve on their tennis shoes design, giving there customers a edge over the competition. The shoes feel tight at first but trust me you want your tools securely fastened as you take on the vigorous sport of tennis. While tight at first the shoes seem to perfectly mold to your feet as if the insoles are made of memory foam. The lacing system curves at the bottom for added agility and stability. The outer mesh is breathable yet reinforced where necessary for optimal performance. The bottom traction allows you to grip the court with confidence and slide that extra inch for a elusive ball if needed. You can rest assured knowing you have a elite pair of tennis shoes to take on the whatever challenge life may bring on and off the tennis court.

  • grippy and supportive, but tight fit

First thing is the fit. this sneaker is very narrow. I normally wear 9-9.5 depending on the brand and sneaker type since I have wide feet, but this is more narrow than the new Lebron's. The thing I do like is that it's definitely for sports and training, not your typical life style sneaker. The sole is very stiff and has minimal flex. it is ideal for sports where you want to be planted like tennis or racquetball. It also has a good wide sole so you can strafe side to side without feeling like your ankle will roll over. Fashion wise, it is a very nice looking sneaker. It is not too flashy, even though it has a pearl like reflective part. The sole of the sneaker is very flat. I don't feel much of an arch on the bottom of the foot. For those that want the arch support might have to look into replacing the insole. There is a toe guard in the front which wraps around the side of the big toe and the material feels very sturdy. I would definitely recommend trying these on the store to see what fits right for you because these can be very snug.
