I have used my new Air Max2's for two training sessions so far, so I haven't raced in them yet, but my initial experience is that they are very fast. I am looking forward to racing in them in a couple of weeks. I will review further after that event.

Lighter than the previous version, the carbon fiber Flyplate's shape and stiffness give you a propulsive feel. It helps keep you on your toes and minimize deceleration.
Zoom, Zoom
The forefoot Air Zoom unit has two chambers to give you propulsion and stability from takeoff to the tape.
Stability for Straightaways
We removed the middle spike from the original Maxfly and elevated the platform on the big-toe side. This helps the spikes feel more stable on straightaways and around the turn.
Secure Fit
Nike Flyweave construction on the upper provides a secure and conforming fit for various foot shapes.

Older Maxflys are better

Bubble seems to be more inflated than the last maxflys, one less spike in the shoe compared to previous maxflys which is very noticeable, very uncomfy to wear and severely ruined my block starts. The do however feel fast once I’ve got going and do look nice.
