Designed around an anatomically correct foot form, the Footscape was conceived by Toren Orzeck while he was a member of Nike’s elite group Advance Product Engineering; or APE. The Footscape became a cult classic soon after its release, with Japan its biggest cheerleader. 

The unprecedented cult status of the Footscape called for a series of updates using materials worthy of its eccentricity. Cue the patent and full-leather versions, as well as the frightfully good ‘Monster’, comprising various faux animal skins.

The Air Max 360 left a huge footprint in 2006 and its distinctive outsole has been used in the reinterpretations of many shoes since; the earliest being the Footscape Woven, which was introduced in the same year.

To celebrate their 5th birthday, Boston’s Bodega dropped an Air Footscape. Coming in 3 colourways, this pair representing a black cat as a nod to the boutique’s Friday-13th opening, the pack was designed with the heritages of both store and shoe in mind.

Designed by the appropriately named Andrew Bunney for the legendary but now-defunct London hotspot The Hideout, both colourways of these furry delights, inspired by Bunney’s love of creatures, feature a pink sockliner based on the inside of an animal’s ear.
