To celebrate the launch of the Air Max 95 ‘110’ we visited Footpatrol’s iconic flagship store for a unique SNEAKRS Pass pick-up experience.Located in London’s legendary Soho, the centre of the city’s streetwear scene, we caught up with London locals to discuss their sneaker staples.

3D Printing Technician, Ipswich/Brixton.
“I love the Air Max 90 Mars Landing. For me as a kid, space was something that both scared me and intrigued me. So when I saw these were coming out, I was thinking – ‘I could have a look at those!’ As I looked closer at them, I saw they had the astronaut boot on the sole and a full 3M one-piece vac-tech upper. By then I was thinking, ‘I’ve GOT to get those!’”

“I love trainers and Jordan 1s are my favourite. They’re comfortable, they’re easy, they go with anything and these are the newest ones out so that’s why I’m wearing them. Always dress bottom up, always!”

“I don’t wanna give you the real answer about why I chose these today... okay, they were near the door! That’s the honest truth! But I was first drawn to these thanks to the unusual air unit – that air bubble on the back. And the gradient upper with the waves too: it was something I’d never seen before at that point, it was just a really unique shoe. It was the first shoe that had the TN. In everyone’s mind it was going to be the most comfortable shoe ever – and they were.
They’re so iconic. You can just wear them any time, which is crazy considering they’re from ’98. You can wear them today and they still look modern.”

“These shoes are nostalgic for me – I love Mowabbs! I love the lady’s face that came with them, I’m using it as a keychain at the moment. I’m a massive sneakerhead – it’s been like twenty years now! And I’m Nike all the way. Even when I was just a kid I was saving money up for my next Nikes.”

"Today I’m wearing the Air Jordan 1 Low SB Lance Mountain. They’re the tearaway ones, so you’ve got the canvas on the outside and you tear ‘em away and you have a UNC blue or a royal revealed – I like the dark and the light. Being able to personalise shoes allows me to have my own little flare on something – and with these I’ve kept them quite simple, just taking off the white panelling. I’ve seen some other ones and they were crazy, so I wanted to keep mine toned down a little bit.”

“Blue is my favourite colour. These are Jordan 1 Obsidians and I just love them. I started following sneaker culture like a year ago... you just get addicted! You just want to get every single shoe. But it’s impossible!
I love a colourful shoe – I don’t have too many black ones. Although last week I bought a the Presto x Undercover – they’re really beautiful.”

“I love dunks, have done for years. And I love the colourway of these Pigeons. I always dress from my sneakers up, but I’m colourblind so it can present me with some interesting challenges! But it just makes it more interesting trying to mix it up."
