Air 180 'NIX'

PAN is a cornerstone of experimental electronic music and sound-based art. Founded in 2008 by Bill Kouligas, the Berlin-based label plays a defining role in Berlin's progressive cultural breeding ground by pushing boundaries sonically and aesthetically. Known for generating an international cult following across club culture, fashion and art, this PAN x Nike collab revives a cult classic sneaker that, in its heyday, routinely frequented the dance floors of the electronic music scene—and those immersed in the subculture.
Designed for all-night comfort and durability, this futuristic Air 180 is shaped not just by design, but by experience. It combines ancient craft techniques with Nike's modern manufacturing precision. The tonal black and Anthracite upper features a worn-in finish, mimicking the patina created from many nights on the dance floor. To further enhance the club-ready aesthetic, a protective shroud lends a shrink-wrapped look while enhancing durability.
This 'NIX' edition takes its name from the newly founded creative research and development studio by PAN's founder. NIX, meaning "nothing" in German, is the opposite of PAN, meaning "everything" in Greek. "NIX" branding appears on the tongue and Air unit, while the Pan god graphic underlay reveals itself through the translucent outsole. An irregularly 3D-printed heel clip evokes ancient exhumed stone tools, giving a nod to PAN's research-based approach. With this audacious design, the Air has officially been recharged.
