Lightweight Women's Nike Classic Windbreaker - 2024. jún. 26.
My wife received this jacket just in time for the cool summer mornings that we experience here in Colorado. She was pleasantly surprised with the feel of the jacket. She wasn't sure, due to the classic windbreaker style material used in the jacket, if it would just have a crinkly feel to it. However, although the exterior is made-up of material like that previously mentioned, the interior consists of a soft, cotton-shell material that gives it a pretty comfortable feel. She mentioned that the fit seems to run a little larger than what she typically expects out of a women's medium. It felt as if the sides were cut in a larger-than-usual way. If my memory serves me right, however, this actually might have been more of an intentional step by Nike in order to stay true to the classic design. The classic windbreakers from back in the 80's did tend to have kind of a baggy look to them. So, having said that, if you don't care for baggy apparel, you might steer clear of this jacket. She did say that the length of the sleeves was just right though, so simply deciding on a smaller size might not cut it for you...or maybe it will (in the length of the sleeves, that is). My wife appreciated the simplicity of the design. A simple, white base color with navy white piping designed to add some pop really helped her to appreciate the classic feel of the jacket. Had the color selections been more true to the color palettes used in the late 80's and 90's, she probably wouldn't have decided to try this jacket out. Those palettes tended to be pretty 'loud', if you will, and she prefers to stick with very basic color schemes (white, black, navy, etc). The exterior fabric used in this jacket, albeit very retro and true-to-its-time/original design, was probably the main reason she decided to give a 4-star, rather than the full 5-star rating (the other being the cut of it the jacket, as previously mentioned). The fabric used on the exterior shell of the jacket tends to make quite a bit of unwanted sound as you move around in it, which makes for hearing others when they are trying to talk with you fairly difficult. It also tends to, just like all windbreaker suits in the 80's and 90's draw a great deal of attention, many times unwanted, when you walk into a room. The fact that this was the main reason for my wife's rating makes sense as she is typically a pretty shy and more introverted person. In conclusion, what she likes most about this jacket is the lightweight feel to it. It is great for throwing on when she goes for a walk. She felt it provides enough breathability to remain comfortable for the entire duration. If she could change one thing about it, it would probably be the cut of it and if she could, somehow make the outer shell material less noisy. However, she does recognize that these 2 aspects or characteristics of the jacket are what make it a 'classic', so removing those 2 features would completely negate the whole purpose of the design. Suffice it to say, perhaps she quickly realized that she doesn't necessarily miss certain styles of clothing from the 80's and 90's! She does appreciate the look of the jacket though. It's a great summery color--very fresh and clean. And, as mentioned before, it is very comfortable to wear! She would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a classic 80's/90's jacket that appreciates the design of those fashion trends but with a more modern twist on today's colors. Thanks, Nike! So I just want to start out by saying that it’s way too warm for me to wear this out and about right now, but it will definitely be a staple once the weather cools down. It’s such a lightweight jacket with snap enclosures where the pockets are which is a nice little throwback feature that you don’t see often in jackets. I got a medium and I love that it’s a little oversized, but not too large so as to where you’re drowning. I love that the outside of the jacket gives windbreaker material, but the inside doesn’t meaning you won’t sweat at all in it like a typical windbreaker. I personally love this jacket and can’t wait for it to cool down so I can wear it somewhere other than inside my house.

I was a little skeptical about the jacket at first and how it would really fit. To my surprise the jacket was light weight and fit loose. I really like the white with the blue lining accent. This was a jacket that could go with casual or even something cute. I wore it on a day where it was mid to high 70 with some wind and it worked just fine for me. I really like the material that the jacket is made out of. The only thing I would like to see if this jacket comes in any other color.
