BEHIND THE DESIGN
Sampling materials, colours and details from iconic AM90 designs of the past, the ‘Side A’ brings something fresh to the table. Read on to find out which grails gave it its unique look.
With its off-white base, the main colour detailing for ‘Side A’ come from the ostrich-leather swoosh and laces in a matching Lemon Frost— taken from the AM90 ‘Powerwall Lemonade’.
The nubuck mudguard is taken from the Mowabb-inspired ‘King of the Mountain’ while at the back of the shoe, oversized cross-stitching is borrowed from the 2006 ‘Untold Truth’ shoe, made to commemorate baseball legend Leroy ‘Satchel’ Paige.
The central theme of ‘Side A’ and its sister shoe ‘Side B’ is piecing together of elements to create something unique—and this is represented by a playlist scrawled under the clear sole. There are a more iconic AM90 design features to be found. Can you spot them all?
