Unfortunately, it is not visible in the pictures, but the upper Velcro “top” of the bag, which covers the main zippered compartment and the second compartment in front of it, is unfortunately not secure enough. I have already read in a user review that you can reach in from two sides under it, or objects may fall out, BUT I thought that this only applies to the front compartment. I thought that my son would put his gym clothes and shoes there, and his textbooks and notebooks in the large zippered part, so they will not fall out. Because I thought the zippered part behind it was protected. Unfortunately, only a thin membrane separates the two compartments, which is unfortunately unprotected and accessible from above. You can practically reach into BOTH COMPARTMENTS from the top from the side, under the Velcro cover cap. Now that is really not good! This way, anyone can steal anything from it unnoticed, or if the bag is lying down, things can fall out. I guess that's why they invented that dark blue rubberized cap that you can put on, but what young boy is going to put it on and take it off every day??? The maximum is good if you go on a trip, maybe get on a train / bus and put it on in the morning, take it off the bag in the evening, so that unauthorized people can't secretly rummage through your bag during the day. But for example, in a high school, university, unpacking and packing the bag every hour, no student would undertake that. So I feel that this backpack was not thought out when it was designed. It's a shame that its usability was not tested before production. Also, that THEY DON'T MENTION THIS AT ALL in the pictures. If I hadn't read that opinion about another type, (but in fact it's the same backpack just with a different pattern) I would have been shocked by the surprise. Unfortunately, this is a detail that should have been made clear in the description or in the pictures!! I have 3 children, I have always bought Nike backpacks because their durability and quality are amazing, BUT this time I was not thrilled, I will have to sew it so that it is not possible to reach into both compartments. At least one of them should be securely closed.

overall it’s a good backpack but the school year just started and it already ripped the material is not resisting both of my sides are ripped and all i put is my cup the space inside is good but there isn’t much space to get the stuff since the zipper only goes half way i wouldn’t recommend this backpack the material it’s actually really bad
