Material and construction of the jacket are great. The cut and fit to my body was a little off, being able to try before you buy would help. Being a tall, but skinny individual, the sleeves were a bit short.

The Jacket That Packs a Punch
At first sight I noticed that the the Nike Trail PrimaLoft® Men's Therma-FIT Running Jacket was packable! That's amazing and allows for easy transportation. After unpacking the jacket it looked nice and comfortable. As far as aesthetics I liked the Nike Trail branding including the mountain peak silhouette above the Nike logo on the chest. Also, the gray and black colorway was simply appealing and can go with any Nike running outfit you please.
Now let's try it on! My initial thoughts were that It felt nice on the body and indeed was comfortable. The zipper, on the other hand, left little to be desired. It kept getting stuck as most zippers normally do. It was especially frustrating as it took about 5 attempts to get the jacket fully zippered! The fit was roomy and not snug by any stretch. The jacket is a size L so I expected that as that is the size I normally wear in Nike tops. Also, I understand the roominess as it allows for added breathability on runs and hikes. However, too roomy for taste. On top of that, the length seemed a bit too long and made the jacket look slightly oversized. As for the hood, this felt nice and just the right fit. I didn't need to utilize the pull strings, but they might come in handy if I were to ever get caught in inclement weather while on the trail.
So now that the look and fit are covered you may be asking well how about performance? Let's talk about it. Aside from the fact that it is very much summer in the northeast US, where I prefer to wear just a tank top and shorts on a hike, I had to put this jacket to the test. My hike was strenuous as I was climbing rocks to reach the summit, which I ultimately did! The jacket was with me every every step of the way. The breathability was ok as I sweated a lot on my back and arms, but my torso was mostly dry. The jacket was not constricting when I walked or even ran. I believe this is due to the loose fit. With all this in consideration I will give the performance a B. There's always room for improvement. I would probably add a little more ventilation so that long hikes and runs won't feel too taxing.
All in all, the Nike Trail PrimaLoft® Men's Therma-FIT Running Jacket packs a punch as it is packable, visually appealing and performs well. However, it is lacking in terms of fit and ventilation. Great product but with a few modifications it can be even better!

I was very excited to get my hands on this new jacket from Nike. Their Trail collection has always been my favorite line of products from them. This jacket did not disappoint. Despite being ultra-packable and light, the jacket was very warm and comfortable during some cold morning runs. The adjustable hood came in handy during some strong winds. I like the grey and black colors as well as the updated Nike Trail logo. At 5’9” I don’t consider myself very tall, yet the length of the jacket was a bit short to my liking (size L). Overall, this is a very versatile jacket that will come in handy greatly not just only during runs but to wear casually while traveling.

Very good windbreaker jacket. This jacket is perfect for cool fall day. I wore it on a windy day and I can barely feel the wind. It’s super soft too. I like the inside pocket, it’ll fit a lot of stuff in it and it has a drawstring to it also.

Nike Trail PrimaLoft Men's Running Jacket
This jacket may be the lightest jacket that I have ever owned. You can definitely feel how insulated it is and how it isn't too heavy. The Trail PrimaLoft Running Jacket runs true to size. I am an XL and I don't think I could have asked for a better fit. The jacket feels light to the touch and has a modern design. The fabric feels great. You will hardly notice that the jacket is on. One of the thing I liked most was how the rear of the jacket had more coverage. It went well below my waist which translates to better coverage from the elements. The only thing that I would change is, giving the jacket more of a taper.

Very Specific Weather Jacket
After a few runs and hikes, I feel like this jacket is really built for under 60F in dry conditions. It might just be because I tend to run hot during my runs, but I felt like this jacket would only really perform well at reasonable cooler temperatures do avoid overheating or sweating too much. There is no venting on the jacket which only adds to that. I would recommend sizing up if you are layering with this since it is a bit snug across the chest.
That said, it's a great jacket that isn't too insulated. I can see myself using this jacket more often on dry fall and winter days. It packs down great too, so I can see this as a stash in the car or trail pack type of jacket. The color way is great too, not too flashy or too understated.

This is one of my favorite jackets in my rotation. I used the jacket for my outdoor runs and everyday wear. The jackets material kept me dry and warm when out on my morning runs when cold or raining. The jacket was very comfortable and kept me cool when being used on warmer days. I liked the adjustable drawstring at both the waist and sides of the hood which made for a more personalized fit. I also liked the small pocket located inside on the left which came in handy when carrying small accessories when out on my runs or running errands. If I could make a recommendation, it would be to make the jackets torso an inch or two longer. The jacket did feel a tad bit short. Besides that, I would highly recommend the jacket.

Nike Trail PrimaLoft Men's Therma-FIT Running Jacket
This Nike Trail PrimaLoft Therma-FIT running jacket is serious! The Therma-FIT technology and PrimaLoft insulation was warm while keeping the jacket very lightweight. The fit was boxy in the torso but the shoulders were a little on the narrow side. However, the fit could be adjusted thanks to a bungee drawcord at the waist. This is also a shell type of jacket with a seamless construction so I'd bet that it repels water very nicely. Most importantly, the performance aspect of this jacket was top notch as it did not hinder me at all while running. I can't recommend this running jacket enough!

Sleek jacket that will be great in the fall/winter
Summer is almost over and as I'm starting to prepare for the colder months, I saw that I needed a new jacket. After looking around for a bit, I came across this one and decided to get it a chance. I've had it for a few weeks now and I'm here to talk about my initial impressions.
Going over the appearance first, this a good looking jacket. I got the black and grey color way so it's simple yet effective; it can easily got with a bunch of different outfits if that's something that you are into as you really have to worry about it clashing with anything. I'm tend to be more of a minimalist so that is right out my alley. Speaking on minimalism, the jacket features three visible branding marks on the outside, one small Nike check on the bottom right of the jacket, Nike Trail on the middle back neck portion, and Nike check underneath a trail on the right chest. I actually like the check on the front more than I thought I would as it's a bit different than the ones you typically see on a Nike product. The hood features a bungie drawcord which is something I quite like on a jacket because you can really get hood to your liking with it. The hood itself sitting on top of your head tight so you shouldn't have to worry about it coming off if you are running or moving quickly with it on. You get two pretty deep outer pockets that have zippers so you should have peace of mind that whatever you put in them won't fall out. And the pocket inside the jacket also has a little pouch built inside which wasn't a feature that I was anticipating but also is something I don't mind having.
Going over the materials, you can clearly tell that this was made with colder climates in mind. When zipped up, you are will be insulated from the cold and retain heat well. I haven't had too many cold days yet but as of now, it's going a good job at keeping me warm when I have it on. I also haven't had to deal with the rain either, so while I think it'll hold up well, we will have to wait and see. The materials themselves feel good on the skin, very sleek and smooth and I personally like that.
As far a fit, I am 5'11, got a Large and it fits decently; the arms are just a tad bit short but that's an issue I tend to have with all my jackets so it's not anything I will get mad at with this one. The wrists are cuffed though so they shouldn't slide too much which is a good thing.
Overall, I think this is a good jacket; it looks good and it does what it's supposed to do. As it starts to get colder, this will be something that I will be wearing on a daily basis.

Nike Trail Running Jacket Review
The Nike Trial PrimaLoft running jacket impresses from the start due to the incredibly lightweight material. The fabric is not only extremely light, but also highly functional with pockets throughout.
Although I didn't get the chance to test it in the rain, the jacket's sleek design is worth highlighting. The main Nike trial logo on the chest helps differentiate the running jacket from other Nike jackets, which pairs well with the logo on the back
However, if there's one thing I'd change, it would be the length of the jacket by the hips. While the overall fit is great, I found it a bit shorter than I'd like. A slightly longer length of 1.5 - 2 inches would provide better coverage and make it even more comfortable, especially in cooler weather.
Overall, the Nike Trial PrimaLoft running jacket is a solid choice for any runner seeking a lightweight, comfortable, and stylish option. With a minor tweak to the length, it would be a jacket I would wear frequently.
