The latest collection from Serena Williams Design Crew seamlessly blends sport and style

The Serena Williams Design Crew is back with an all-new collection in partnership with Nike. This time around, a new team of design apprentices from Serena Williams's hometown of Los Angeles collaborated with the tennis superstar and Nike to release a new lifestyle sneaker and five eye-catching pieces of apparel.

Each piece features elements celebrating the city that served as the launching pad for Serena's own career. Stripes and embroidered details like the SW logo are some of the additional coordinating design elements of note.

The Design Crew was formed in 2019 when the Nike signature athlete and fashion lover partnered with the brand to launch a design apprenticeship programme for emerging designers to promote diversity in fashion design. The programme has since jump-started the careers of its talented designers, who represent the next generation in fashion design.

"I'm excited to continue my partnership with Nike and proud to provide emerging Los Angeles designers a platform to explore their craft and bring a touch of our dynamic LA edge to sport style in an influential way", Serena says.

The Victory Tech sneaker, which mixes the Tech Hera shoe's retro aesthetic with Serena's own modern style, is a highlight of the collection. The exterior of the white shoe features an arch piece and lacing system reminiscent of iconic Los Angeles architecture, while contrasting gold details add a subtle touch of luxury. Inside, a sockliner pays homage to Serena's early career, while an inspiring message from the athlete on the inside of the tongue adds a personal touch.

A bold cut-out tank top and coordinating shorts, a short-sleeved baseball-inspired top and matching trousers, and an oversized bomber jacket round off the collection. You can wear these pieces together or separately, allowing for endless styling options.

The cut-out tank top, available in black and red, puts Serena's love for fashion and sport on full display. Its stretchy, ribbed fabric gives off sporty vibes, while the unique layers and bold cut-outs add a stylish twist. The coordinating loose, mid-rise shorts feature stripes and an embroidered SW logo on the waistline. Additional embroidery on the back spells out "Los Angeles".

The oversized short-sleeved, baseball-inspired top features vertical stripes and is made from a lightweight fabric designed for comfort. Matching mid-rise trousers include convenient press studs on the shin. These versatile pieces, which can be paired or worn individually, come in white/gold detailing and black/silver detailing.

The bomber jacket—a perfect complement to the other pieces—completes the collection. The classic retro-inspired design features varsity-inspired patches and stripes as well as curved design lines mimicking those seen on a tennis ball. Available in red/white and black/grey, this lightweight, oversized jacket provides warmth without bulk.

The Autumn 2024 Serena Williams Design Crew Collection is available globally at Nike.com and selected retail locations following its 17 September release date.
