Runners rejoice with the arrival of the Nike Zoom Fly 6. The all-in-one training and racing hybrid incorporates Nike’s best cushioning technology and plated innovation to help runners achieve their goals. The all-new Zoom Fly 6 features several key updates, including a lighter, streamlined design that’s stacked higher than the Zoom Fly 5.
Thanks to a redesigned midsole that includes a full-length carbon fiber Flyplate between two different layers of proprietary foam, the Zoom Fly 6 features the highest stack height among Nike racing shoes. By supercharging runners’ propulsion, the Flyplate helps to lessen running effort and exertion. Additionally, the design incorporates extra ZoomX foam, Nike’s lightest and most resilient midsole material, for optimal energy return.
A key aspect of a training run is replicating race day conditions. With a two-layer woven mesh system offering superior comfort in a soft, conforming fit without sacrificing breathability, durability or weight, the Zoom Fly’s upper was designed to deliver a race day experience. A new outsole is constructed of a thin web of rubber that’s lightweight yet grippy.
Nike athlete and world champion marathon runner Eliud Kipchoge helped to inform the design of the latest iteration of the Zoom Fly by testing the shoe on both asphalt and dirt roads in and around his native Kenya.
“This is the shoe runners should choose for their workouts all week long,” Eliud says. “The redesigned Zoom Fly performs at a high level and is very responsive, with wonderful cushioning from impact and great movement from heel to forefoot.”
The Zoom Fly 6 will be available globally at nike.com and select retail locations on November 1, 2024, in the Eliud-inspired colorway — white with accents of black, hot pink and purple, inspired by the hallmark red clay Kenya roads where Eliud spent his formative training years.
Five other visually stunning colorways will debut in late 2024 and early 2025.
