Nike SB Dunk Low x Futura Laboratories

We're highlighting one of New York City’s artistic legends Leonard McGurr aka Futura. His creative vision continues to evolve and influence across medium, genre, instinct, and now footwear. With his iconic hand style at the center, Futura's work eschews labels or context—despite being known as one of graffiti's most famous progenitors. From subway car fame of the past to prestigious gallery and museum exhibitions of the now, Futura’s pieces boldly reinterpret space through color, characters and typography.

This special-edition Dunk Low is a collaboration between Futura's commercial product brand and design studio Futura Laboratories and Nike's storied skateboarding division. The design marks a return to our Swoosh heritage of artist collaborations, bringing graphic applications from Futura's paintings to the Dunk’s classic silhouette. Using a bleached canvas as the backdrop, it features colorful overlays, puff print details, custom tongue labels and insole art, plus a translucent sole revealing Futura's iconic signature. Finished with contrast stitching and coordinated two-toned laces, this Futura Laboratories shoe boasts the original Dunk Low construction—calling back to his long-standing relationship with Nike SB.
